XIVe Congres national

XIII Congres national
Trois-Rivières, Québec 2017
Nearly 200 members of the Canadian Federation of Pueri Cantores gathered on the weekend during a national congress. In addition to fraternizing, the young choristers had the opportunity to present a concert at the cathedral of Trois-Rivières on Saturday night and to provide music for the Sunday morning Mass celebrated by Mgr. Luc Bouchard, Bishop of Trois-Rivières. During this congress, the choirs performed O Sacrum Convivium, the final composition of Mgr. Claude Thompson, founder of the Fédération des Pueri Cantores du Québec.

XII Natinal Comngress
Québec, Québec (2015)
The XII National Congress of the Pueri Cantores du Québec was held May 15-17, 2015. At the helm, Mme. Louise-Marie Desbiens, a member of the Dominican Missionary Adorer Fraternity, director of the Petits Chanteurs de Beauport and president of the Fédération des Pueri Cantores du Québec. Four hundred young choristers from eight member choirs gathered in Quebec City to celebrate this event and to mark the 100th anniversary of the Maîtrise des Petits Chanteurs de Québec. The four hundred singers, under the direction of their various choir directors, gave a concert of superior quality at the church of the Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens (in attendance: Mr. François Blais, Minister of Education) and participated in a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Basilica-cathedral Notre-Dame de Québec (Cardinal Gérald- Cyprien Lacroix presiding). Unforgettable!

XI National Congress
Granby, Québec (2011)
The Petits Chanteurs de Granby are celebrating their 80th anniversary this year. And a quiet little party will not suffice, oh no! They will stop at nothing short of welcoming the entire congress of the Pueri Cantores du Québec whom they will host, for the first time, tonight and through the weekend. More than 250 young choristers are coming to celebrate with the Granby choir. "We wanted to have a great big party and invite all our friends,” exclaimed the former musical director of the Petits Chanteurs, Isabelle Petit. Even though Petit "retired" last summer after 11 years at the helm of the choir, the Granby native insisted on participating in the organization of the congress. She explains: "I still know all the workings and all of the directors". Six of the seven member choirs of the Fédération des Pueri Cantores du Québec will be gathering in town tonight: the Petits chanteurs du Mont-Royal, the Petits chanteurs de Beauport, the Petits chanteurs de Québec, the Petits chanteurs de Trois-Rivières and the Petits chanteurs du Cap-de-la-Madeleine will join the host choir. Only the young choristers from Charlesbourg will be missing, due to a lack of time.
